Temperatures exceeding the 90^th percentile are forecasted over most eastern parts of the SADC region, persisting over the next coming 5-days. Parts of the SADC region that will experience consecutive extreme temperatures beyond a 3-day period include, northern DRC, southern Namibia, eastern Zambia, southern Malawi, southeastern Zimbabwe, most of Mozambique, northwestern parts of South Africa, and most of Madagascar have a likelihood to experience extreme temperatures above 35^oC during the period of 18 – 22 December 2024
