The Twenty-Eighth Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-28) was convened in Maputo, Mozambique from 29th to 31st January 2024 to present a consensus outlook for the February to June 2024 rainfall season over the SADC region. Before the forum, there was a Climate Experts Meeting aimed at building capacity of Climate Experts from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services of SADC Member States on the 22-28 January 2024 to formulate this Outlook.

The Centre develops and disseminates meteorological, environmental and hydro-meteorological products. The Centre’s products contribute to improved disaster risk management in the region, and help to ensure Member States are better prepared for weather and climate disasters, conservation and protection of natural resources.
