The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), through the SADC Climate Services Centre (CSC) held the Mid-Season Review and Update of the Twenty Second Southern African Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-22 Review and Update), in Maun, Botswana from 13 to 14 December 2018.

 The SARCOF-22 Review and Update Forum was convened by SADC Secretariat through the SADC Climate Services Centre. The support was provided by the Government of the Republic of Botswana through its Meteorological Services Department (BDMS). The meeting was also sponsored by 11th European Development Fund (EDF) through the management of African Development Bank (AfDB) under the ClimDev Special Fund (CDSF).

The forum was preceded by a 3-day Climate Experts Capacity Building Workshop of SADC National Meteorological/Hydrological Services (NMHSs) for purposes of generating the 2018/19 seasonal climate forecast update, which wasl also organized in Maun, Botswana from 10 to 12 December 2018.

The Twenty Second Annual Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-22) 

The Twenty Second Annual Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-22) was held in Lusaka, Zambia from 22nd to 24th August 2018 to present a consensus outlook for the 2018/2019 rainfall season over the SADC region.  Before the forum, a training was organized at the SADC-CSC Early Warning System laboratory (Gaborone, Botswana) for climate scientists from the SADC National Meteorological and/or Hydrological Services on the 13-20 August 2018 to formulate this Outlook. 

The Twenty First Annual Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum

The Twenty First Annual Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-21) was held in Gaborone, Botswana 23 to 25 August 2017 to present a consensus outlook for the 2017/2018 rainfall season over the SADC region. Climate scientists from the SADC National Meteorological and/or Hydrological Services (NMHSs), the SADC Climate Services Centre (CSC) formulated this Outlook.
