The Thirtieth Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-30) was convened in Antananarivo, Madagascar from 28th to 30th January 2025 to present a consensus outlook for the February to June 2025 rainfall season over the SADC region. Before the forum, there was a Climate Experts Meeting aimed at building capacity of Climate Experts from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services of SADC Member States on the 21-27 January 2025 to formulate this Outlook.
English SARCOF-30 STATEMENT for February to June 2025 rainfall season;
Tropical Cyclone “Dikeledi” has evolved in the Southwestern Indian Ocean basin and has made landfall over northern Madagascar and Comoros and is currently over the north coastal areas of Mozambique and is further projected to impact southern west coastal areas of Madagascar by the 16th and 17th January 2025

The SADC Secretariat through the SADC Climate Services Centre is convening the Thirtieth Southern African Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-30) to be held Antananarivo, Madagascar, from 28 - 30 January 2025 under the theme: “Closing the early warning gap together in SADC Region”. A Climate Experts Meeting will precede this forum from 21 - 27 January 2025. SARCOF-30 is organized with funding from the Intra-African Caribbean Pacific (Intra-ACP) Climate Services and related Applications (ClimSA) Programme funded by the 11th European Development Fund (EDF), and other partners.
